At the Covert Combat Outdoor Lazertag Site, we understand that it isn’t always possible or convenient for you to visit our site. That’s why we offer a flexible mobile service, where we can bring our high-tech lazertag system to you!

We are very experienced in offering customers the best possible mobile lazertag service on their own sites, having previously operated our games at school fetes, community events, Ministry of Defence (MOD) sites, youth clubs, corporate events, and private parties.

We can flexibly make the most of whatever land is available for use. For barriers, we can use whatever you already have on the land for us to improvise with, e.g. hay bales, trees, etc. Where the land is very “open”, we can even bring our own mobile barriers to provide additional cover.

Below is a photo from a booking we ran on a farmer’s land, for his son’s birthday party. As you can see, the farmer spread large hay bales across the field, providing some great cover for players to hide behind, not to mention some thrilling and exciting games.

The photo below shows our metal barrels, which can be transported from our site for use on mobile lazer combat bookings (N.B. the wooden and log barriers are, unfortunately, not moveable).

The photo below shows another booking which took place on a farmer’s field, this time using hay bales and our unique camouflage material barriers, which contain a special material to block infrared shots (if you are considering using another company to provide you with a mobile Outdoor Lazertag service, ask them if all of their barriers actually block shots... you may be surprised by the response that you receive!).

We can fit in with your land/event much more sympathetically than similar combat simulation activities such as paintball and airsoft.  Because our guns fire harmless infrared signals instead of projectiles, there is no need for any safety screening to be erected. Furthermore, our lazer combat system does not leave plastic BBs or messy and unsightly blobs of paint all over the place.

For mobile bookings, we require a minimum of 1/4 acre for short games, and a minimum of 2 acres for longer games.  As a guide, a football pitch is about 1 acre in size.

We are very flexible with mobile bookings, however for safety reasons we have certain minimum standards that we stick to:

1. The ground must be soft. Tarmac, concrete, etc are not suitable surfaces, as we would not be able to secure our barriers to the floor, and the risk to any players falling over on it would be too high.
2. The land must also be safe for players, i.e. no significant hazards such as broken glass or rusty metal strewn about, no deep holes in the ground, no un-maintained woodland where there is a high chance of falling branches, etc.
3. We generally like to visit the land in advance, to carry out a health and safety risk assessment.
4. We would require written permission from the land-owner before we could use the land.
5. If the land has footpaths running through it, or is clearly visible by members of the public, we may have to display appropriate signs and inform the Police in advance, to prevent armed-response teams mistakenly turning up!
6. We do not allow players to climb above ground floor level, i.e. no climbing trees or climbing onto buildings, etc.  Its your land, but its our safety rules; you may be willing to risk breaking your arms/legs when you fall from a height, but we aren’t willing to risk our guns being broken in this way!

The cost of us running mobile bookings will vary from booking to booking, depending upon the type of event, how many people you anticipate playing, whether you would be paying us all of our costs for the booking or asking us to charge players on an individual basis, the time/distance to travel to the site, the duration of the booking, whether or not you would require camouflage overall hire for players, etc.

Mobile Service Prices for 2009/10

For events where the number of players (or number of guns required) can be guaranteed in advance, our guideline prices are as follows:

• 3 Hour Session @ £30.00 per gun hired (minimum charge is for 10 guns, i.e. £300.00)
• 6 Hour Session @ £50.00 per gun hired (minimum charge is for 10 guns, i.e. £500.00)

Our travel/transportation mileage (both to and from the event) is charged @ 25p per mile.

There is no VAT to add to any of the above prices, as we are not VAT registered.

The above prices are quoted on the basis that the total number of players is the same as the number of guns hired.  Where the number of players is to be higher than the number of guns hired, you would need to contact us for a more precise quote, as we would need to allow for extra members of staff, the additional wear-and-tear on the equipment, etc.

Set-up and de-rig time are done on our time, i.e. not during your booking time.  This means that we will arrive earlier than the event start time, and leave later. The equipment and safety briefings take place during your booking slot, at the start of your booking.

For events where the number of players (or number of guns required) cannot be guaranteed in advance (for example, school fetes or similar drop-in events, etc), we set our prices based on the size of the event, the expected turnout at the event, and how well-established the event is. The two basic charging structures are either:

1. For smaller events (or less-established events), with relatively low turnouts, we charge a flat-fee for attending the event, and then top-up our income by individually-charging a small-fee to players each time they wish to play;
2. For larger events (or longer-established events), with relatively high turnouts, we attend the event for FREE, and make our income entirely from charging a small-fee to players each time they wish to play.
